What is Testosterone hormone? and normal testosterone level for men.

The Testosterone hormone (also known as T-testosterone hormone) is one of the most important hormones, in the body in our daily lives. It comes from the testes, which are located at the backside of the human body and play a vital role. As mentioned above, it is responsible to make the male sex organs work properly.

In this article we will discuss what is Testosterone hormone and its purpose in the body and in turn of male’s sexual activities.

Testosterone hormone: Testosterone hormone is an important hormone in both males and females, but some people prefer having just testosterone hormones in their bodies. Though, in some cases the other hormones will be needed to perform certain sexual tasks. When there are no hormones in the body, we get very little to our bodies.

This may result in low-quality and un-fertile sex life, which we all know can cause physical, psychological, emotional, social and emotional problems. So, if you want more quality time with your partner and to be able to have a healthy relationship, then you must have testosterone hormones in your body.

Testosterone levels in men and women: Testosterone levels are not only about the sex hormones; it’s also important for health and overall well-being. Your body naturally produces testosterone when you grow old, but too much or lack thereof can lead to problems like erectile dysfunction, hair loss, heart disease, high blood pressure, etc. Also, as per research, being on testosterone hormones can help with reducing the risk of developing cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. On average, males produce approximately 300 mg (mg) of testosterone each day, whereas females have an average level of 60 mg of testosterone in their system every day. At times, men need to use more than 100 mg per day whereas women require less than 50. Some reports suggest that men need between 80 and 250 mg per day while women should consume around 20 mg per day. However, in some rare cases some men can actually exceed 200 mg per day.

Symptoms: Some symptoms of higher testosterone levels include acne, skin infections, anxiety, excess sweating, chest pain, swelling and edema. These symptoms could indicate that your body needs more testosterone hormones to function properly. If you notice these kinds of symptoms on your own testosterone hormone levels then, the chances of getting it wrong are comparatively lesser. To check your testosterone levels, you can take tests with the help of a doctor.

Two methods of Testosterone testing: There are two methods of testing – the free and the expensive ones. Both of them are efficient and reliable. But, if you have to go for free testosterone hormone test, then there are certain things you must do before taking it. First, you must ensure that you are keeping up with your regular routine. Second, never consume any kind of drugs that may alter your hormonal levels, even though they are natural and easily available. Third, avoid eating junk food and sugary foods at least in every single moment. Fourth, always wear loose clothing or clothes that cover your shoulders and breasts. Fifth, have a glass of water with no sugar in it in every single sitting. Sixth, keep track of your weight, height and BMI. Then, you just need to follow all of these points and take the saliva sample and urine samples. Afterwards, depending upon the results, it is possible to conduct further testing to determine whether there is anything incorrect with your body.

Types of testosterone hormones: There are three types of testosterone hormone in our system, namely:

1.Testosterone

2.Testosterone

3.Testosterone

   Many Other types

Testosterone 1 and Testosterone 2: These hormones are commonly found naturally in the body, especially in males. They make a great contribution towards maintaining a healthy lifestyle. According to medical experts, “Testosterone 1 and Testosterone 2 levels in men are generally lower than those in women. This difference lies mostly in the level of circulating Testosterone in the bloodstream of men. In a recent study conducted by researchers from Yale University Hospital Center, about 70 to 80 percent of adult men produced slightly more of Testosterone 3 after receiving treatment for prostate cancer. The researchers said that such difference found in men may be due to differences in levels of circulating testosterone”.

Testosterone 3 is present in almost 90% of the male population, where its production is mainly regulated through dietary intake and/or environmental exposure. The production of this substance declines during puberty in adults. Additionally, during pregnancy, it tends to decline due to low estrogen levels.

Testosterone gland: The testes are glands found deep inside the body and perform three main functions. One of them is producing insulin in the pancreas, making sure you receive energy in the form of glucose. Another one is controlling your temperature by helping break down proteins. Lastly, the last function of the testes is to produce hormones. Each testicle produces a few hundred types of hormones.

Testosterone level in women: When going into a new relationship, your mind starts running with questions like how long will it be before she becomes pregnant, what is the first sexual date for us, how many children are we looking for? And when you think this way, there is nothing wrong with thinking that you are just a man and therefore the woman is not capable of having such thoughts. But if the thought is about having a baby, you start asking yourself why you do not have a child yet. You might be wondering in such a case, what is happening to the female anatomy, how does she become a mother? While answering these questions, you are missing out on the actual point of it. How much testosterone hormone do I have in my body?

The answer that you need to figure out is, of course, not exactly. According to researches done by Harvard Medical School, when a couple get married, there is a significant rise in estrogen levels in the body. Thus, testosterone hormone will increase to control this rise. As we get older, our testosterone levels drop with age. We tend to lose more muscle mass, meaning less estrogen production. Therefore, as per studies performed with various groups, among 25-34-year-olds, there was no difference in testosterone levels in men and women. They all were equally active, though a slight reduction was noted after menopause. Even though testosterone levels have been declining throughout our life, men have increased their activity in the past 2 decades.

Testosterone hormone level in men: Men produce more testosterone hormones than women do. However, the amount of testosterone that men produce is quite different from the number of testosterone hormones that women need. This is called gender-specificity because of which men have more testosterone hormone than women do. After performing a thorough analysis of both sexes, a conclusion has been made that men must be given more testosterone hormones than women. It was also established that men produce larger amounts of testosterone hormones than women do. Hence, according to studies, there has been a 40% gain in testosterone hormone in men over the decade-long period of 30 years. A 10% decrease in testosterone hormone levels for women occurred only after 5 years of marriage, hence implying the same. Women cannot develop sufficient testosterone in response to pregnancy because they become fat and inactive. Besides that, women's menstrual cycle is longer than a man's. So, they cannot get it ready for sexual needs. And finally, women use less iron compared to men. All these factors explain why women have less testosterone in their body compared to men.

Testosterone hormone level in the elderly: Aging brings changes on the body that affect the secretion of testosterone and cortisol. Nowadays people tend to produce fewer testosterone hormones, unlike in earlier days. Nevertheless, aging makes it impossible to completely reverse the effects of aging on the body. Several ways are adopted to deal with it. One of them includes treating erectile dysfunction. Although, erectile dysfunction can be treated, it is highly treatable. Patients are advised to see a doctor if their condition persists. Further, patients are advised to eat a balanced diet and exercise regularly.
